Third-party licenses

The open-source components Pengumi Studio bundles, or downloads from their official sources during setup, and their licenses.

Pengumi Studio's own code is closed source. It relies on the open-source components below; each is used under its own license and all rights belong to their owners.

Bundled

  • Bergamot translator (Mozilla, JavaScript glue) — MPL-2.0. Contains two local changes (module compatibility); the modified file ships as source code inside the package. Source: github.com/mozilla/bergamot-translator

  • Poppins typeface (Indian Type Foundry) — SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • whisper.cpp macOS (Apple Silicon) binary — MIT. Built from unmodified source and distributed from Pengumi's update server. Source: github.com/ggml-org/whisper.cpp

  • Music in the launch film: Circuit Synthwave Alt by Doctor_Dreamchip — CC0 1.0 (Freesound). Sound effects: Pixabay Content License. English voice-over: generated locally with Kokoro-82M (Apache-2.0).
